GetData's Recover My Files left me feeling like I'd just been exposed to one of those killer apps! This seemingly simple technology will rebuild all sorts of files from scraps left on a storage device even if the file allocation tables have been destroyed. Build around original ideas there isn't anything else that can do what Recover My Files can do. The marketing of the product is excellent (the idea of showing the trial user the recovered file before they buy is brilliant!) and offshore distribution already delivering. The Consensus Software Awards were established in 1999. They are Australia's only awards exclusively for Australian designed and developed software. To be eligible for consideration for an Award the product must demonstrate to the independent panel of judges that the product is Innovative, performance based and has further potential. All submissions, judging criteria and profiles for all of the judges can be found on the Consensus web-site www.consensus.com.au. All Awards granted in 2005 are of equal value and represent the excellence and diversity of the Australian developer community.

The Consensus Software Awards are proudly sponsored by Microsoft and endorsed by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), Austrade and the Federal Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts. The judging is completely independent and verified by Consensus Pty Ltd. Sponsors and other supporting organisations take no part in the judging. The 2005 Awards were presented at gala dinner in Sydney on April 21st by the Hon. Senator Helen Coonan, Minister for Communications and Information Technology. The Australian Developer magazine is the official media partner and has published several features on the program as it progressed through the four stages of the program, including the two major rounds of judging. The Awards are merit based and the judging panel free to examine and reward excellence as they find it based on the judging criteria and their own professional judgment.   1. Click the download button to begin the download.
  2. If possible, save then install the Recover My Files installation program on a drive other than the one on which your files were lost.
  3. Run Recover My Files, search your drive and preview the files found in the results screen.
  4. NOTE: Software will only run on Windows PC's
